    fauda netflix

Fauda is an action-packed thriller on Netflix about an Israeli soldier, Doron Kavilli. Doron comes out of retirement to hunt down a terrorist he thought he killed, but has learned is still alive. The show, which is in its second season, has gotten positive reviews across the board for being realistic and showing what the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is really like. It’s in Hebrew and Arabic, so you can brush up on phrases you learned on your Birthright trip while sitting on the edge of your couch, anxiously eating popcorn to learn what happens next.

    shtisel netflix

Have you ever been curious about the ultra-Orthodox communities in Israel? Do you want to learn what really happens there? Then tune into Shtisel, a Netflix drama about an ultra-Orthodox family in Jerusalem dealing with the ups and downs of life. It’s touching, heartbreaking and endearing all at once, and will give you some truthful insights into traditional Jewish customs and why these communities choose to live that way.

    The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is about a Jewish homemaker turned stand-up comedian living in New York City in the late 1950s. The Amazon Prime original is not only hilarious, but it’s also beautifully shot and contains some of the best outfits and sets you’ll see on TV. Hear some familiar Yiddish words your grandparents may have taught you while learning about the booming stand-up comedy scene of that time. And, of course, cheer on Mrs. Maisel while you’re bingeing the show.

Want to discover the life and times of your favorite Jewish Supreme Court judge? Then watch the documentary RBG, a look at Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s rise to her current position and her dedication to fighting gender discrimination. Walk away inspired and ready to make your own fierce path in the world.

BlacKkKlansman, which is based on a true story, is about a black detective who enlists the help of a Jewish colleague to get behind the lines of a Ku Klux Klan chapter. The film hits close to home to today’s situation, when white supremacists are attacking Jews. Go into the movie with an open mind, but know that it may be a little emotional to watch in these trying times.

Get ready to get your binge on and happy watching!
